Our Story
It all began with Japnaam Kaur, an 8-year-old girl from Auckland who was an average student at school. Like many kids, she found some school subjects a bit tricky, which affected her confidence.
But when her parents introduced her to the SIP Abacus program, everything turned around! In just six months, her focus improved, and she started doing so much better in school. Fast forward two years, and Japnaam’s confidence, math skills, and writing abilities were on another level—leaving her classmates in awe.
Seeing the difference it made for Japnaam, her parents, Harpreet Singh and Charanpreet Kaur, saw the struggles other kids were facing and knew they had to act. In June 2021, they opened the first SIP Abacus learning centre in Flatbush. What began as a goal to help 100 kids in a year turned into 100 enrolments in just two months!
Today, with nine buzzing locations across New Zealand, a growing presence in Australia, and more than 2,000 students enrolled, SIP Abacus is transforming thousands of young lives.
